MFN Member Lane Major Named President & CEO of Providence Medical Technology

Lane Major, a 2001 JMU graduate, Madison Founders Network member, and member of the Gilliam Center for Entrepreneurship's Board of Advisors, has been appointed President and CEO of Providence Medical Technology, a spine surgery innovator, and has also joined the company's Board of Directors. Major brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the medical device and spine industry, including credit for over 100 FDA-cleared products over his career. He most recently led Zavation Medical Products as CEO, and before that co-founded K2M, Inc., helping steer the company from a startup through its 2014 IPO and its eventual $1.4 billion acquisition by Stryker.

The appointment comes as Providence's flagship fusion technology continues to gain traction with surgeons in the spine market, and the company's leadership says Major's track record of scaling category-leading businesses makes him the right fit to guide its next stage of growth.
